Package Installer

One-click setup for apps, gaming, and local AI on Genesi OS.

The Genesi Package Installer (genesi-packageinstaller) is a graphical one-click installer for common software categories — desktop apps, a gaming stack, and local-AI tooling — so you don't have to assemble everything by hand with pacman and paru.

What it covers

  • Applications — curated everyday desktop software.
  • Gaming — Steam, Proton, and related tooling.
  • Local AI — runtimes and helpers that pair with AI Mode.

Install

It ships in the Genesi repository:

sudo pacman -S genesi-packageinstaller

Then launch Package Installer from the application menu. Under the hood it uses the same pacman/AUR sources you'd use manually, so anything it installs can be managed normally afterwards.
