Genesi OS 2026.05 — AI Mode reaches 90%

This release brings the core of AI Mode to the desktop. The genesi-aid daemon now detects AI processes and applies CPU governor, memory, huge-page and scheduling optimizations automatically.

The AI Mode Plasma widget ships with a pulsing active state, a manual toggle, auto-refresh every 5 seconds, and it adds itself to your panel on first boot.

Phase 1 — the visual identity — is complete: the dark-green GenesiOS color scheme, glassmorphic SDDM theme, animated Plymouth splash, custom plasmoids and the floating panel are all in place.

Under the hood we are still CachyOS: the linux-cachyos kernel with the BORE scheduler, KDE Plasma 6, Wayland by default, and pacman for package management.
